What is WeatherReady Fest?

The Pandemic has changed everyday life for everyone. Unfortunately, the existing WeatherReady Fest we had planned for September 12th in Tulsa won’t be able to happen in person. But we’ve planned the next best thing: a Virtual WRF!!

This will allow unlimited numbers of people around the country and world to have fun learning about the weather and how they can protect themselves and their families from all kinds of hazardous weather. The main event will take place during the entire month of September, with all kinds of highlighted content, but the material will live online for a whole year!!

The site will officially launch on September 1, 2020.

The National Weather Association Foundation and USAA Insurance are pleased to present this free online learning opportunity to you! From National Weather Service offices to broadcast meteorologists, college weather programs, and private forecasting companies, they’re presenting, recording, and creating high-quality learning content about the atmosphere.

Content will be available for all grade levels and ages, from Pre-School to Adults. It will also be categorized by subject, from General Weather to Winter Storms, Hurricanes, and Severe Weather. This premium educational content is available on-demand to parents leading online learning at home, homeschooling parents, and schools alike. Certain presentations will be done live, but all content will be archived on the site for future access.

There is also outstanding comprehensive safety content on the Virtual WeatherReady Fest site that you can use to arm your family with information about how to keep you and yours safe from hazardous weather!

Check back for updates, featured presentations, and new content daily!
