Come and see the latest in the scientific study done on severe weather, lightning, radar meteorology, and much more! We'll have free transportation to take guests from the main WeatherReady Fest location on the campus of UAH over to the SWIRLL building and back. This is a rare opportunity for the public to tour this facility, so be sure to sign up at the registration tables when you first arrive.
WeatherReady Fest will take place on the campus of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, on Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. FREE timed tickets are now available on our Eventbrite ticket page.
About SWIRLL: SWIRLL is a core research facility (building) that houses infrastructure and ATS/ESSC staff and students who are involved in research on severe and hazardous weather, radar meteorology, lightning meteorology, lightning physics, and air quality. SWIRLL was designed to promote research, education, and outreach in these areas of research, and was officially commissioned in March 2015.
